# Enabling 3G

This is applicable to the Dejavoo Z9.

To enable a 3G connection on your Dejavoo Z9 device, please use the following steps:

1. Tap the three-line icon from the main screen to access the Services menu.
2. Tap **Core**.
3. Tap **Utility** and enter the manager password: 1234 is the default value.
4. Tap**Communications**.
5. Tap **Local Parms**.
6. Tap**3G/GPRS**.
7. Tap **Status**.
8. Tap **Reconnect**.
9. The terminal will display GPRS Connecting.
10. Once connected, the main screen will display the 3G icon at the top of the screen.
11. Tap the **3G** icon to give you the connection details.
12. If the terminal reads LAN Active, look for your network IP address to display.
13. Tap the **Ping** menu option.
14. Select the number 2 on the keypad for **Ping Google**.
15. If the terminal displays Ping Success, you are ready to begin processing. Attempt a test sale to confirm approval receipt.
