Merchant Reserves

A reserve account is a portion of funds which are set aside. These funds are in place to protect the merchant and Stax if the merchant is exposed to unforeseen risk.

Capped reserve

The most commonly used reserve model is a capped reserve. Under this model, the processor holds a fixed percentage of sales until a set capped amount is met.

Stax has implemented a Capped Reserves type of merchant reserve.

Note: Most reserve accounts have a pre-determined period, but a reserve account can remain for the entirety of the account.

Stax Connect Reserves

On the Merchant Business Information page, you can view a summary of the reserve details and the current reserve balance.

Clicking on the Reserves card opens the reserve page.
