Uploading Documents for Risk Review

Step-by-step guide to uploading bank statements, voided checks, and other documents to the Stax risk team from your Stax Pay account.

Upload the requested risk review documents from your Stax Pay account instead of sending them by email.

If your Stax account has been placed on a risk hold or is under risk review, our risk team will reach out and let you know what documentation we need to clear it. This typically includes recent bank statements, a voided check, or proof of a business change.

Upload documents for review

  1. Log in to Stax Pay.
  2. Open Settings in the left navigation, then click Account.
  3. Find the Upload Documents for Review button with the shield icon and click it.
  4. Review the window that shows any documents you've previously uploaded.
  5. Drag your file onto the upload area, or click Browse to choose a file from your device.
  6. Watch the progress bar. Most files upload in 2–3 seconds.
  7. Wait for the uploaded message to finish uploading.

After the upload succeeds, your file is visible to our risk team.

You can upload multiple files in the same session. Each upload is independent, so you can cancel one without affecting the others.

Optional: Upload from your phone

The upload feature works the same way on mobile. On iOS and Android, tap Browse to:

  • Pick a file from your device
  • Take a new photo of a paper document with your camera
  • Choose a file from cloud storage, such as iCloud, Google Drive, or Dropbox

Optional: Reduce file size

If your file is over 2 MB, try one of these options:

  • PDFs: Use the Reduce File Size or Compress option when exporting from Adobe Acrobat, Preview on Mac, or your browser's print-to-PDF dialog.
  • Images: Lower the resolution to 300 DPI instead of 600 DPI, or save the file as a JPEG instead of a TIFF.
  • Multi-page documents: Split the document into smaller files and upload them separately.

If none of those options work, email [email protected].

Optional: Delete a document

If you uploaded the wrong file, click the trash icon next to it in the document list, then confirm the deletion.
