Use the merchant list in PCI Aperia to understand what each SAQ (Self-Assessment Questionnaire) compliance status means and what action is needed next.

SAQ compliance statuses

The following table explains each merchant's compliance status.

Questionnaire Compliance StatusDescription
Not StartedNo questionnaire has been selected or determined yet.
In ProgressThe questionnaire has been started but is not complete.
Non-CompliantOne or more questionnaire answers are out of compliance.
Not SignedThe questionnaire is complete but still needs to be signed.
CompliantThe questionnaire was completed, reviewed, and signed within the last year.
ExpiredThe last questionnaire is more than one year old and must be reassessed.

What you can do next

  • Send reminder emails to merchants whose status is not compliant, specifying how often notifications are sent. See Email Notifications.
  • Use site jumping to start a questionnaire and answer questions on behalf of a merchant.

You cannot attest to or sign a questionnaire for a merchant.
