PCI Email Notifications
Aperia sends your merchants automated email notifications that direct them to their Aperia site to complete their PCI compliance (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard — the security requirements for organizations that handle cardholder data) activities. These notifications help you achieve a higher compliance rate across your merchant portfolio.
All email notifications include a "Do not reply" statement. Replies to these emails are not monitored and will not receive a response.
Notification Types
PCI Apply sends notifications for three key compliance milestones:
- New merchant onboarding — Notifies newly enrolled merchants that they need to complete their initial PCI compliance requirements.
- Network scan scheduling — Reminds already-compliant merchants to schedule a quarterly vulnerability scan (an automated check of internet-facing systems for security weaknesses).
- Annual certification renewal — Alerts compliant merchants when it is time to complete their annual PCI recertification.
Merchant Workflow Paths
Aperia sends different notification sequences depending on how your merchants validate their compliance:
- Self-service merchants — Merchants who use PCI Apply can directly schedule scans and complete the certification process, receiving step-by-step notifications that guide them through each task.
- Documentation-based merchants — Merchants who submit external documentation attesting to their compliance receive notifications prompting them to upload and confirm their attestation records.
Note
If you would like to change the verbiage or frequency of emails, please contact your Stax account manager or support team.
